PIAB independently evaluates cases for compensation stemming of personal injuries suffered due to an accident at work, a motor vehicle, or other public liability event. According to the Personal Injuries Assessment Board Acts 2003-2019 and the Personal Injuries Assessment Board Acts 2003-2019, any personal injury case and certain exclusions like medical negligence claims are required to be reported to PIAB in the event that they cannot be agreed upon by the parties earlier in the process.
