(Council Bluffs) (Council Bluffs) Council Bluffs Police Department reports an injury incident that occurred an early morning on Sunday.
According to the statement, officers were summoned for the 45.5 mile mark of I-29 southbound about 12:06 AM in connection with a personal injuries accident.
On arrival, police discovered the police discovered a red Dodge Charger was traveling southbound upon I-29 at a fast rate of speed. The Charger collided with an Chevy S10, which caused both cars to lose control, and then crash. In the case of the driver, Chevy S10 needed to be transferred by medical helicopters to a local hospital because of their injury.
The passengers of the Charger were taken to local hospitals via ambulances to receive treatment for injuries that are not life-threatening. The Charger’s driver is under investigation for driving a motor vehicle intoxicated by alcohol.
