CASPER, Wyo. There was no medical transportation was needed on Friday following the crash of a Casper police car and an SUV collided at the junction between South Poplar Street and CY Avenue in an official statement from Wyoming Highway Patrol Sergeant Clint Christensen.
“Fortunately this is a minor accident that did not cause any personal injuries,” Christensen said.
The accident occurred at 12:35 p.m.
“Preliminary analysis suggests that the CPD vehicle was equipped with emergency gear in place, which included sirens and lights, during the time of the accident, and it responded to an urgent,” Christensen said.
“Three passengers were involved in the two vehicles. emergency medical professionals were on scene to evaluate the entire group of people affected. There was no transport into the medical facility.
“There there was no evidence that there was any impairment. Inattention of the driver is the primary cause of the accident,” Christensen added.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol will continue conducting investigations.
“We recommend that drivers pay attention to their surroundings when driving an automobile, in particular when there is a high volume of vehicle traffic, and at intersections or turning into intersections” Christensen said.
